Biography
Mark concentrates his practice on representing health care providers, insurers and suppliers/manufacturers in regulatory matters. He specializes in Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, state licensure and transactional compliance.
Mark is the prior Chief of Staff of the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, and the previous Director of the Florida Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. He has 25 years of experience in hospital, physician and managed care regulation and compliance.
As a litigator, Mark has tried 33 healthcare cases in administrative, state and federal courts. He is Florida Bar Board Certified in Health Law, one of only 117 attorneys in the country. Mark also has master’s degrees in both healthcare finance and healthcare administration. He is an American Bar Association lecturer on healthcare fraud and abuse, specifically, whistleblower, self-referral and kickback litigation.
Mark, his wife Pamela and their son Nicholas enjoy traveling and spending time together at the beach.
